The Wesley Research Institute 2025 Research Grant Round will continue the Institute’s 30-year focus of supporting groundbreaking health and medical research. This year’s edition of the Grant Round is now open for expressions of interest.

For this year’s call, we are looking for staff or healthcare professionals (e.g., doctor, nurse, pharmacist, physiotherapist, allied health, support services, etc.) who work at one or more of the UnitingCare Queensland hospitals, and demonstrate the interest and potential for ongoing research. Through this Round, Wesley Research Institute seeks to accelerate discovery, enhance expertise and promote leadership among the next generation of research pioneers across the UnitingCare hospital network.  

WRI will be accepting applications for projects with a budget between $75,000 to $150,000 for a maximum duration of 2 years. Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria and focus on at least one of WRI’s key Strategic Areas.

Interested staff and healthcare professionals must submit an initial expression of interest for this opportunity. Selected applicants will then be invited to participate in the interview and full application stages of the application process.
